In their Washington, DC office they provide patients with access to some of the most advanced technologies, including:

  • Digital Photography
  • Digital X-Rays
  • Panorex
  • Soft Tissue Laser

Using such advanced technologies, even for treatments as basic as regular exams, guarantees that our patients enjoy optimal dental health. Preventative dentistry is the first step to success, and technology helps the team to reduce any risks. In their dentist office, they also rely on advanced systems to help uncover problems and treat them as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Digital Photography

A good photograph can capture “before and after” results better than anything else, but it also helps to document progress and support different treatments. At L’Enfant Plaza Dental Arts, they use a large array of technology in their treatment plans, including digital photography.

Though their doctors have more than 40 years of combined experience, and great skill in cosmetic, restorative, and general dentistry, they also constantly enhance their knowledge and invest in the latest technological advances. Digital photography is part of their array of equipment, and used to document stages of a smile makeover or full mouth restoration, different cosmetic treatments such as veneers or Invisalign® straightening, or when using in-office whitening treatments.

The team also use photography when preparing treatment plans. Though they rely on 3D models and impressions, they also turn to photographs to help them with their treatment plans. Of course, their smile gallery is also full of images captured with digital photography too!

Digital X-Rays

Dental TechnologyIt is easy to see how technology has helped any dentist do their job with greater precision and accuracy, and this is why Dr. Henry Konigsberg and Dr. Dennis Norkiewicz, along with their entire team are so dedicated to the use of the latest technologies. With the goal being painless and advanced dentistry, technology can help them succeed, and nowhere is this more obvious than with digital x-rays.

While eliminating so many of the negative issues associated with traditional dental x-rays, digital x-rays also allow dentists to quickly see the results, enlarging areas to get a better view, adjusting contrast for more accurate diagnosis, and all without the discomfort so many people experience with traditional dental x-rays. In other words, better and faster diagnosis!

Another of the benefits of digital x-rays is that they emit far less radiation than standard x-rays – with estimates putting them at around 90% less than traditional x-ray equipment. Though the standard x-rays are deemed safe, isn’t just better to know that your exposure is limited to the least amount possible?

This also means they are more environmentally friendly as they don’t require developing but go straight from the camera to the display, where your dentist will put them to use immediately. And should you need to get copies of the images, they can be sent electronically!

Panorex

Dental TechnologyAt L’Enfant Plaza Dental Arts, they strive to provide painless and advanced dental care, and doing so includes making diagnosis as painless and easy as possible too. That means that Dr. Henry Konigsberg and Dr. Dennis Norkiewicz must remain as fully informed about dental technologies as possible, and use them when available. This is the reason that thye rely on Panorex in their office.

A unique approach to dental x-rays, Panorex does not just find decay and cavities after a few uncomfortable shots with a large and cumbersome camera. Instead, it uses modern technology to comfortably and rapidly take a panoramic view of the entire oral cavity.

This means that the doctors can use it to assess your entire upper and lower jawbone, your TMJ or temporomandibular joint, the sinuses and surrounding bones, and even some of the nerves. It’s also used for advanced oral cancer screening, to scan for signs of gum disease, to look at wisdom teeth, and so much more. It is also an ideal tool to prepare for dental surgeries.

Comfortable and easy to use, Panorex is as safe as digital x-rays or traditional dental x-rays, but adds another level of diagnostic information for their skilled and experienced dentists to use. They are dedicated to customized and comprehensive care, and rely on such technologies to do their work.

Soft Tissue Laser

A dental diode laser or soft tissue laser is one of the latest advances in dental technology. It is a device being used for a long list of treatments, and in almost all cases it reduces discomfort or pain while producing premium results. The entire team at L’Enfant Plaza Dental Arts is dedicated to painless, advanced dental care. They practice general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry, and in all of these areas a soft tissue laser can be used to treat many issues.

These high-tech devices are used for reducing bleeding and pain when treating gingivitis, providing periodontal disease remedies, performing endodontic procedures, and more. They can allow our team to perform some procedures without using sutures, without requiring anesthesia, with reduced bleeding, with reduced risk for infection, and with faster healing. They’re also used to reduce or minimize surrounding tissue damage.

With the many advances in dental technology there are today, it’s much easier to get the smile you’ve always wanted. Contact the Washington, DC office today at 202-488-8300 or use the online form to schedule a consult with Dr. Dennis Norkiewicz or Dr. Nadeem Azeez today!
